Behind The Glass

Showdog Studios is managed by Brad Miller. Brad has worked as a road musician for people like Jean Shepard, Tommy Cash, Hank Thompson, Ray Pillow, Jack Green, David Huston, Connie Smith, Tiny Tim, Margo Smith and dozens of other Grand Ole Opry stars. His experience as a professional musician, song writer, sound engineer, producer and studio operator stem from his life long journey in Country Music.

Brad's father Terry Miller, who plays Steel Guitar on many of the sessions produced at Showdog Studios, has been there every step of the way. He has shown Brad the ropes, let him learn a few hard lessons on the road and introduced him to the recording industry at an early age. Through the experience and connections of his Dad, Brad has been able to work on several sessions in Nashville as a guitar player with some of the best musicians in the business. Buddy Emmons, John Hughey, Paul Yandell, Pig Robins, Chet Atkins to mention a few.

Brad also has been mentored and guided by his close friend Gene Breeden who was instrumental in establishing the Bakersfield sound by working with Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Gene owns and operates one of the finest studios in Nashville and has been kind enough to show Brad many recording techniques over the last several years.
